What’s New for the 2012 Cadillac CTS?

The recent announcement of the Cadillac design for 2012 has everyone excited. It gives a lot of the imports a run for its money with its sport luxury sedan styling. Not only is the 2012 Cadillac CTS beautiful inside and out with its generous cabin and luxurious leather interior and styling, but the new CTS Touring package includes a 3.6 V6 engine with 318hp and 275lbs of torque.

Even with the additional horsepower, the CTS still gets great mileage with 18 city, 27 highway, with an average of 22 miles per gallon. The standard rear wheel drive can be upgraded to an all wheel drive package, but the traction and stability control are standard on all CTS models.

Safety didn’t take a backseat in this new design since it features side and curtain airbags as well as active front headrests that are new for 2012. The Cadillac CTS also has an electronic brakeforce distribution feature that automatically distributes the right amount of braking power to each wheel to prevent the brakes from locking up based on the road conditions.

GMC Acadia is Stylish, Yet Practical

The 2012 GMC Acadia SUV is essentially unchanged from the 2011 model. Five different versions are available: SL, SLE, SLT-1, SLT-2 and Denali. All come equipped with a 3.6-liter, 288-hp V6 engine with automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and a rating of 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. All models also have standard stability control, side/curtain airbags, traction control, third row seats, MP3 player and satellite radio.

Sharing body style with two other GMC crossovers–the Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse–the Acadia is roomier than many other crossovers in its class and has higher fuel economy, more secure handling and maneuverability than larger, trucklike SUVs. 2012 Cadillac XTS – the Newest Luxury Barge

The 2012 Cadillac XTS is a new automobile that replaces Cadillac’s front-wheel drive luxury cruiser DTS and the brand’s rear-wheel/all-terrain STS model. This vehicle is aimed at aging baby boomers who have a different set of requirements than consumers who prefer European luxury automobiles.

Built on General Motors’ Episilon platform, the XTS has the same base as the Buick LaCrosse and incorporate many of the same mechanics, which an identical front and rear track and wheelbase. The XTS, however, is a full five inches longer from front to rear bumpers. Powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine, the XTS produces 300 h and 264 lb-ft of torque. It is powered by a six-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive as standard. An all-wheel-drive version is available.

For a smooth ride, the XTS has magnetic ride control and rear air suspension, as well as Cadillac’s HiPer Struts in the front. Brembo brakes are standard. 19-inch rims are also standard, although a 20-inch option is also available.
